Every toll free number is controlled by a Responsible Organization, also known as a RespOrg. A RespOrg is the entity you selected to manage and administer your toll free service. Typically, the RespOrg is the company who carries your toll free traffic and is thus paid for toll free service.
Changing your RespOrg to DOW Networks is simple. A Letter of Agency form must be completed and signed to begin the process. The signed Letter of Agency authorizes DOW Networks to act as the Responsible Organization for a designated list of toll free (8XX) numbers.
In order to complete the process, you must provide the associated “ring to” for each number in addition to the toll free you wish to RespOrg. Assuming cooperation from your current carrier, the numbers are usually released to the new carrier within three to seven business days.
