Upscale Resort Finds Affordable Phone Service with DOW Networks
The beautiful Turks and Caicos Islands are a British Overseas Territory in the West Indies. Known for their crystal clear waters and one of the longest coral reefs in the world, the islands are attracting a growing number of divers and upscale tourists from the U.S., Canada, the U.K. and other countries.
Most visitors stay in Providenciales (or Provo), one of the largest of the eight islands. The small, international airport is just minutes from the upscale resorts that dot the shoreline of Grace Bay. Several resorts in the area are already served by DOW Networks, so when a new property started looking for telecom service providers, they called us.
The new resort has five-star amenities and services with luxury rooms, suites and penthouses facing some of the best beach in the world. On site, DOW Networks installed a voice gateway to IP-enable the resort's PBX and allow international calls from guests and administrative staff to be sent via voice over IP (VoIP) rather than over the public switched telephone network (PSTN). We also provided the resort with a rate plan that includes free calls to landlines or mobile phones in the U.S. and Canada, free calls to U.K. landlines, and lower rates for domestic calls.
In addition to the outbound services they receive, the resort also uses DOW Networks to terminate the inbound U.S. toll free reservation traffic they receive from a leading Tier-1 carrier. Compared to what they might pay a local provider, the relationship with DOW Networks saves the resort up to 75% on their phone bill.
DOW Networks is proud to deliver high-quality, low-cost international phone service to a number of resorts in Jamaica and elsewhere in the Caribbean.
